My Professional Journey

I’m a Humanistic & Integrative psychotherapist with a background in supporting people through a wide range of emotional and life experiences. My path into therapy came from a deep curiosity about people, how we come to understand ourselves, and how early experiences can shape the way we relate to the world and to others.

Alongside my training, I’ve worked in charity settings supporting clients facing complex and often painful experiences. These roles have shaped how I work today, reinforcing the importance of safety, compassion, and working at a pace that feels right for each person.

My Humanistic & Integrative Approach

Whether it’s a specific concern or a want to understand yourself better, therapy can be a useful tool to exploring your thoughts, behaviours and feelings.

As a Humanistic & Integrative psychotherapist, my ultimate aim is to understand your inner world and provide a therapeutic experience tailored to your needs. I work from a holistic model where your mind, emotions, behaviours, relationships and experiences are all acknowledged as each element shapes us into who we are today.

I see each person as unique, believing that there is no such thing as a good or bad person. By drawing on theoretical approaches, skills and concepts which complement the relational aspect of therapy, my hope is our work together offers you the capacity to improve your self-empowerment, autonomy and self-belief.

My Experience

I have worked as a therapist for several charities, including Nottinghamshire Mind and Nottinghamshire Women’s Aid, where I have supported clients with a wide range of experiences, including anxiety, attachment difficulties, bereavement, depression, dissociation, domestic abuse, infertility, low self-confidence and self-worth, self-harm, sexual abuse, stress, suicidal ideation, and trauma.

My Qualifications

BSc (Hons) in Humanistic and Integrative Counselling & Psychotherapy, awarded by The Sherwood Psychotherapy Training Institute in partnership with Staffordshire University
